BSR Services, Inc. Wins BBB TORCH Award

St. Louis company is among 10 businesses and two charities to receive award.

(St. Louis, Mo., Sept. 2, 2014) – BSR Services, Inc. recently won a TORCH award from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois. Businesses and charities that apply for the TORCH awards are evaluated for their commitment to customer service through exceptional standards for ethical business practices. A TORCH awards luncheon will be held Tues., Oct. 14 at the Chase Park Plaza located at 212 N. Kingshighway Blvd.

Company owner Carl Bolm founded BSR Services 30 years ago in Bridgeton, Mo. as a sideline to his full-time job. Today the company employs more than 500 seasonal and contract workers during the winter months.

“We are so honored to accept this award, especially since this is our 30th year in business,” said Bolm. “The acknowledgement by the BBB is truly a highlight in our company’s history.”

BSR Services is St. Louis’ largest locally owned and operated snow and ice management provider. Just wanted to pass along a thanks to the building maintenance staff for a wonderful job on snow removal this last couple of days. They really did an excellent job to help make it convenient and safe for us as we came in and out of the building. I know that usually these folks hear the complaints and not the compliments and they really worked hard in some incredibly frigid conditions.

I’ll start off by thanking you and your team for a job well done today. Our yard and lots are in great shape. I wish I could say the same for our highways and interstates today ? I’m getting word that we’re starting to see some refreezing already on our yard here and though I know we’re going to see service 24/7 I’m just seeing if you know when we can expect someone back to treat or salt the yard again. Wanted to make you guys aware of something I noticed last night. I was across the street from my building at 5:45 last night leaving the gym. I saw your truck in the lot plowing. I noticed he was working really hard to get real close to one of our vans to clear that space and make it easy for someone to get into the van without walking through a pile of snow. After a couple of passes I guess your guy realized he was unable to get close enough. At that point I saw him get out of the truck with a shovel and carefully shovel the area next to the van. Needless to say I was really impressed! We have had a few different snow plow contractors over the years and I must say I have never witnesses any of them care about the quality of their work as much as I saw your employee do last night. I was very impressed with the level of care and passion he had for doing a great job! Truly a way different experience than I have ever had with a snow contractor. Now I know why you guys have so many great reviews on line. I just thought I should let you guys know how impressed I was! Great job!!!
